Susan Jane Harrell, age 76, passed away on Thursday February 4, 2021 at River Park Senior Living in Little River, SC.

She was born in Birmingham, England on May 14, 1944 the daughter of the late, Frederick James Thompson and Dorothy Browne Thompson. She met and married her husband Hank while he was stationed in England and became an American Citizen. She was preceded in death by her husband,  Henry “Hank” Harrell, III; a son Charles Harrell and wife, Kelly; and brother, Barry Thompson.

Mrs. Harrell was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church. She was a member of the Brunswick County British Women’s Club (The Brit Girls).

Surviving are a son, Christopher “Chris” Harrell and wife, Jeanette of North Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren, Haley Harrell, Heather Harrell, and West Harrell; two great-grandchildren Tasneem Grinage and Layali Grinage; a sister, Dianne Allston and husband, Dick of Sharnbrook, England; a brother-in-law, Fred Harrell and wife, Suzanne of Wilmington, NC; three sister-in laws, Joyce Thompson of London, England, Sharon Brady and husband, Jan of Bradenton, FL and Pam Griffith of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery.

A celebration of Mrs. Harrell’s life will be held at a later date.
