Terry Lynn Garrison

Terry Lynn Garrison

Terry Garrison was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He passed away unexpectedly February 26, 2021 at the age of 62 at his home in Holden Beach, NC.

Terry Lynn Garrison was born to Farrell and Marie Cecil Garrison in High Point, NC, on April 13, 1958. He graduated high school at T. Wingate Andrews and received his bachelor's degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. He enjoyed a 40-year career in industrial chemical sales, leaving behind a strong network of colleagues and clients. Terry brought a smile to everyone he came across. His slice of heaven was fishing in the ocean alongside his wife, Patty, and their beloved corgi, Trigger. When his children and grandchildren visited Holden Beach, he would beamingly introduce the many passers-by-turned friends to his proudest accomplishments.

Terry took great joy in contributing to his children’s success in life. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren and was excited to have another one on the way. He could be found watching a UNC game at the Dean Smith Center, cheering on a grandchild at a sporting event, or walking his dogs any day of the week.

He will be mourned dearly by his wife, Patty Nealeans-Garrison; son, Kevin (Kelli); daughter, Carly Egge (Daniel); stepdaughter Maggie Tomlinson (JT); stepson, Courtney Nealeans (Mandy); brother, Tim. As “Ga,” he was well loved by his grandchildren: Knox, Kenzie, Ava Jane, Reynolds, Carson, and Annie. He was active with the Brunswick County Animal Shelter and fostered, as well as adopted, many dogs. His current pack includes Trigger, Mookie, Ese, and Dragon. He was preceded in death by his parents; cherished sister, Barbara Garrison; sister, Carolyn Garrison; and, dear friend, Tim Lambeth Bean.

A private service will be held for the family on Holden Beach at a later date.
