Obituary
Theresa C. McMahon, 87, of Calabash, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on October 4, 1928 in Queens, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta Cifarelli. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Norman J. McMahon, Sr. and her two sons, Norman J. McMahon, Jr. and Robert W. McMahon.
She was a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, member of the VFW #7288 Ladies Auxiliary, and an Eucharist minister at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Surviving are her daughter Patricia “Pat” McMahon, and husband, Robert Mansbart, of Melbourne, FL , son, Martin J. McMahon, and wife, Kim, of Spring Hill, FL; sister, Dorothy Hoffmann, of Ocean Isle Beach, three grandchildren, Megan, Sydney, & Dylan; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, July 8th in the St. Brendans Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Wilmington National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Lower Cape Fear Hospice-Brunswick House, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
