Thomas Hugh Underwood, Jr., 94, of Shallotte, NC died on Thursday, September 10, 2020.
Born in Durham, NC on August 7, 1926, he was the son of the late Thomas Hugh Underwood, Sr. and Mary Hawtense Strickland Underwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maggie C. Underwood.
He was a retired Engineer with R & D Food Packaging and veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Surviving are his son, Thomas Hugh Underwood, III (Carol), Myrtle Beach, SC.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Calvary Baptist Church, Shallotte, NC officiated by the Reverend Joseph Needham. Interment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens, Shallotte, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
