Thomas Joseph Etowski

Thomas Joseph Etowski, 80, Supply, NC died September 25, 2022.

Born in Cleveland, OH on January 13, 1942, he was a son of the late Albert Frank Etowski and Malvina Grathwol Etowski.

Prior to retirement, he was owner/operator of a land development company. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, an Eagle Scout, and a life member of the NRA. Throughout his career in the Army, he served with the 82nd, 101st, and 5th Special Forces. He is a recipient of 5 Bronze Stars with Valor, Purple Heart, 3 Air Medals, 10 Army Commendation Medals, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Ranger Tab, Master parachutists Badge, and Combat Infantryman Badge.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Kantner Etowski; daughter, Pamela Cofield and her husband Zane, Murphy, NC; sons, Wayne Etowski and his wife Heidi, Cameron, NC and Michael Etowski and his wife Nichole, Pinehurst, NC; sisters, Mary Therese Barringer and her husband Dan, Bay Village, OH and Joanne Bowser and her husband Rick, East Lake, OH; grandchildren - Zachary, Hailey, Mary and her husband Zachary Crifasi, Megan, Monica, and Lillian, and one great-grandchild on the way.

A mass will be celebrated on October 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan, The Navigator Catholic Church. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Brendan, The Navigator Catholic Church’s Stained Window Fund for a St. Michael the Archangel Window in Mr. Etowski’s memory. Please send checks to 3695 Windy Point Road SW, Supply, NC 28462 made payable to St. Brendan’s Catholic Church.
