Obituary
Thomas “Tom” Livingston Robbins, 82, passed away on Tuesday.
March 23. 2021, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 25, 1938 the son of the late, Frederick Robbins and Margaret Livingston Robbins.
Tom was a veteran of the United States Army and was an active member of Shallotte Presbyterian Church in Shallotte where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the ABCPOA, Sea Trail Men’s Golf Association, and The Ohio State Alumni Association. Tom was a Toxicologist, retiring after 30 years of research with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and moved with Dian to Sunset Beach.
Tom loved to play golf, the game of Bridge with friends, working in the yard, walks on the beach, traveling, and visits from family and friends. He loved his home of 22 years in Sea Trail.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Dian Guy Robbins; daughter, Julie Robbins-Nearn (Robert) of Atlanta, GA; son, Scott Thomas Robbins (Libby) of Galt, CA; a brother, Frederick Robbins and wife, Nancy of Ponte Vedra, FL; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Gargano, Sam Farwell, Zachary Farwell and Ainsley Robbins; one great-grandchild, Ezmae Farwell; brother, Frederick J. Robbins (Nancy) Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; niece, Kimberly Criser(Marshall); nephews, Steven Robbins (Shellie) and Kevin Robbins (Paige). ; Tom is also sadly missed by his beloved Dog “Daisy”.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held a future date.
