Celebrating the Life of Thomas Michael Quinlan

Larger than life… The coined phrase can mean a variety of things to many of us. To the Quinlan family it represents a devoted husband, a loving father, an energetic grandfather.
Thomas Michael “Trouble” Quinlan was born in Brooklyn, New York, November 20, 1937. He passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on March 28, 2019.

Tom was a human superman in every sense of the word. For many who could only dare to leap tall buildings in a single bound, he spent forty-five years doing just this. There are few parts of New York City that he did not touch with a successful, forty-five year career as an Iron Worker/Foreman. Tom was also a Veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving Tom are his wife of forty-seven years, Sharon Quinlan, four children, six grandchildren and one on the way. Tom built a legacy that lives on in the lives of Cyril and Feliz Quinlan, Kim and Enzo Taronji, Shannon and Lindsey Shaw-Quinlan, Thomas and Melissa Quinlan; Grandchildren: Abby, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Maggie, Danielle, and Brandon and wife JR; Sister: Candi and husband John Hoyle.

The Quinlan family celebrates the life of a courageous man who was truly larger than life. He was one that loved with all of his heart… He was loyal to a fault, and he lived every day like he was rolling in on two wheels. He will be missed by all those that loved him.

The Quinlan family will host a celebration of life at their home for those who knew and loved Tom. A personal invitation will follow with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to: Lower Cape Fear Hospice,
955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422
