Obituary
Thurston Avery Etheridge, 73, of Carolina Shores, formerly of Whiteville, NC died on November 27, 2018.
Born in Columbus County on November 24, 1945, a son of the late Avery Fisher Etheridge and Katie Register Etheridge.
He was a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Lebanon #207 Masonic Lodge AF & AM, and was retired from International Paper Co. after 37 years of employment.
Surviving are a son, Brian Etheridge (Lori), Whiteville, NC; daughters, Jennifer Mayo (Chris), Palm City, FL, and Wendy Etheridge, Texas; brother, Jackie Etheridge; sister, Verla Mae Hayes, both of Whiteville, NC; six grandchildren, ,and his significant other, Carol Arone, Carolina Shores, NC.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
The family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial & Honors Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
