Tom Hewett, Jr., 91, Supply, NC, the last of the Brunswick County Bridge Tenders died August 4, 2022.
Born in Brunswick County, NC on July 24, 1931, he was a son of the late Tom Hewett, Sr. and Mamie Davis Hewett. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Harold Hewett and his sisters, Louise Gray and Allene Hewett.
He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran and retired from the N.C. Dept. of Transportation as a bridge tender.
Surviving is his wife, Audrey Faye Long Hewett and her extended family with nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM in Bible Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Silent Grove Cemetery, Supply, NC
