Traye Daniel Dodgin, 50, of Supply, NC, passed away at his home on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Born on July 12, 1975, in Lincolnton, NC, Traye was the son of William T. Dodgin and JoAnn Evans Cobb.

Traye was a talented short-order cook who found joy in preparing meals for others, both professionally and at home. He also enjoyed 3D printing and loved designing and creating items to share with others. He loved the ocean and spent time working as a fishing mate on charters out of Holden Beach. Though he lived simply, Traye had a heart of gold. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and was deeply loved by many. His friends became his chosen family, and he treasured every moment spent with them and with his loved ones.

He is survived by his parents, William T. & Kim Dodgin of Iron Station, NC, and JoAnn Evans Cobb of Supply, NC; his sons, Andrew Norris and Jonathan Michael Dodgin; his brother, Adam Dodgin; his sister, Chynthia (Cindy) Siddons and brother-in-law, Kendall (Buddy) Siddons; step-sister, Hilary Michelle Idol Wilson; Aunt Beth Gentry; Uncle Mike and Aunt Ann Dodgin, Aunt Maxine and Uncle Ray Poteet and Uncle Frankie and Charlotte Evans; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews who loved him dearly.

Preceded in death by his stepfather, Dennis Allen Cobb of Supply, NC.

A small memorial will be held at his home later this month, and a celebration of his life will take place in Iron Station at a later date when his brother can return home from military service.
