Obituary
Twila Marie Hillman Nowak, 79, of Oak Island died November 7, 2021. She was born in Kirkman, Iowa, on May 18, 1942, daughter of Ralph and Marie Thompson. She was deeply intellectual, yet profoundly humble. There was nothing of greater importance to her than family. She created many enduring friendships during her years as a trainer in the computer industry.
Surviving are her loving husband, Paul Timothy Nowak; children, Tyrone Hillman, Trent Hillman (fiancée Rose Hinkel), Tara Naus ( fiancée David Cunningham), Travis Hillman ( Tammy Hillman, wife), and Christopher Nowak ( Megan Nowak, wife); grandchildren, Morgan Hillman, Shane Hillman, Reece Naus, Julianne Naus, and Estelle Nowak; and great grandchildren, Jordan Hillman, Derric Hillman, Cami Hoggatt, Gage Hoggatt, and Waylon Kauffman.
A Celebration of her life is planned for the Spring of 2022.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Kidney Foundation.
