Obituary
Virginia L. Brandt, 93 years old, of Shallotte, NC, formally of Myrtle Beach, SC died Thursday, January 30, 2020 peacefully at home.
After 32 years as an elementary school teacher in NJ, she retired to Myrtle Beach, SC and did volunteer tutoring. She was a member of the Coastal Doll Collectors' Club since 1986. In 1993 she moved to Shallotte, NC and was a member of the Traveling Serendipity Singers, visiting nursing homes every two weeks. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Myrtle Beach since 1982.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Pat Williams of California, daughter and son-in-law Helen and Ronald Hutson of West Virginia, sister; Nancy Davison of Florida, two sisters-in-law, Lois Hancock and Carol Hancock Kiley of New Jersey. Also surviving are two stepchildren and their spouses: Donna Kelly of California and Richard Brandt of New Jersey, twelve grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren and counting.
Friends may pay their respects at Brunswick Funeral Service, 5229 Ocean Highway W. (Rt. 17 just south of Shallotte, NC) on Friday, February 7th from 9-10am, the service will be held at 10am, followed by a procession to North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens.
