Obituary
Vivian Ann Langworth, 84, a resident of Shallotte, NC and formerly of Port Chester and Rye Brook, NY, died peacefully on January 6, 2022 surrounded by her family. Vivian was born on October 28, 1937, in White Plains, New York.
In addition to her professional career with IBM, she loved her church, cooking, reading, volunteering, spending time at the senior center and anything that celebrated her Italian heritage. Vivian “Mimi” was a thoughtful, kind, smart and generous caretaker who loved spending time with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren who were the highlight of her life.
Survivors include her son Charles (Laura) Langworth III of Trumbull, CT. Daughters, Rita (Rob) Brewer of Wake Forest, NC and Laura (Daniel) Scinto of Shallotte, NC. Grandchildren, Daniella (Hunter) Allen, TJ Scinto, Charles and Catherine Langworth and Jasmine Brewer.
She was predeceased by parents, Rita and Luigi DeLuca, brothers Dominick and Louis, and husband Charles Langworth Jr.
A celebration of Vivian’s life will be held on January 22, 2022 at her daughter's home in Shallotte, NC. An additional celebration will be held for all of her family and friends in the New York area at a time and date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Special Olympics which was very dear to her heart.
