Wade Rush Poole, Jr., 85, of Ash died March 18, 2018. He was born in Asheboro, NC, a son of Wade Rush Poole and Lula J. Dorsett. He retired after serving his country honorably in the US Navy. His beloved wife Patricia Haley preceded him in death. He was a man of great faith and faithfully served his church. He loved his cat and still mourned his special dog, Joy.

Surviving are his son, Ricky Kenneth Poole (Angela) of Sanford; daughters, Rita Cameron (David) of Sprout Springs and Marsha Gillespie (George) of Supply; his brother, Johnny Poole of Winston Salem; sisters, Nancy Murray and Jo Ann Stutts of Asheboro. He was cherished grandfather of seven and great grandfather of five.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 21, at New Vision PFWB Church, 3090 High Meadows Drive, Shallotte, officiated by The Rev. Tuddie Dixon and The Rev. Cory Nance. Burial will be in Ocean View PFWB Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
