Wallace Curtis Bridgeman, 87, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2021.
He was born on February 14, 1934, son of George C. and Ava Maureen Bridgeman. Downers Grove was his home for 84 years. Wally attended Un. Of Wa. And Parson’s College and studied Chinese and Tibetan languages. He served in Korea as a Radio Operator.
He joined the Railroad as a signal tower operator and worked at Longfellow & Downers Grove South. Wally enjoyed reading from his vast book collection, listening to classical music & being known for “his wealth of useless information.” His quick wit and sense of humor will be missed by his friends and family.
Burial will be next to his parents in Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Darien, Illinois.
