Obituary
Walter “Walt” Moody, age 88 of Shallotte, NC died Monday, March 10, 2025, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River, SC.
Walt was born in Bound Brook, NJ on June 22, 1936, to Theodore and Gesine Tobiasson Moody.
He retired as a manager with the phone company and had served in the National Guard. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons, baseball and NASCAR. He loved to camp and anything outdoors. He was a founding member of the first Golden Retriever Club of New Jersey.
Walt is survived by his wife: Brenda Boekhout Moody; son: Bruce Moody; daughter-in-law: Robin Moody; grandchildren: Steven Moody, Nicole Bryan, Krista Moody (Terry); Wade Moody (Bailee), Hailey Moody; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Walt is preceded in death by his son: Douglas Moody.
