Wanda Lee Wright, 65, of Southport, passed away April 5, 2018. She was born June 15, 1952 in Arlington, VA to Mack Henry Hensley, Jr. and Mary C. Dullen. Wanda had a genuine passion for family and her dogs. She will be remembered for her outgoing spirit, contagious laughter, and devotion to exercise. She was a marathon participant, a member of Crossfit, Orange Theory, and enjoyed Jazzercise. She was incredibly vibrant, kind and loved the beach and boating. She moved to Southport with the intention to retire, but she loved her work at BB&T where she was the Quality Assurance Team Lead Senior Vice President.

Surviving is her loving husband, Ted Wright; daughter, Jill Bevins (Thomas) of Martinsburg, WV; brother, Donald Hensley, of Aldie, VA; sister, Catherine Ann Shumaker, of Nokesville, VA; Darlene Waterfield (Dave) of Manassas, VA; four grandchildren, Brandon, Alexis, Alaina, and Levi; nieces, Jennifer and Pam; and a nephew, Jason.

Family and friends are kindly invited to a celebration of her life at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 9, 2018 at Generations Church in Southport. The family will receive friends after the service.
