Gerald Wayne Britt, age 74, died after a long illness, on February 13, 2024, at the SECU Hospice House in Bolivia, NC.
Wayne was born on June 12, 1949, in Lumberton, NC, to Knox and Josephine Bass Britt.
He and his wife owned Britt and Britt Environmental Services for more than 30 years. Wayne was a deacon at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Winnabow, NC.
Wayne is survived by his wife: Lynda Brigman Britt; son: Michael Britt (Margaret) of Shallotte, NC; daughter: Melissa Britt of Southport, NC; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers: George Britt of Rockingham, NC; Joe Britt of Holden Beach, NC and one sister: Carolyn Britt of Dunn, NC.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Brunswick Funeral Service, 3479 Southport-Supply Road, Bolivia, NC.
