Wilburn Max Brinegar

Wilburn Max Brinegar was born April 18th, 1936 in Huntington, West Virginia to Wilburn and Lucille Brinegar. Max attended high school at Huntington High School, then went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He served two years as a valued military police officer stationed at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he was tasked to guard two presidents. Max then chose to protect and serve his community as a police officer in Prince George's County, MD where he retired as a detective and polygraphist. 

Max married the love of his life, Sandra Brinegar, on Dec 4th, 1971 and they enjoyed 50 golden years together. He raised three sons: William, Kevin, and Darin and it was his joy to be a grandfather to Aslynn, Amanda, and Darin. 

He was a strong, selfless man who lit up every room lucky enough to have him. He passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan 16th surrounded by family.

He is survived in life by his wife Sandy, his son Darin, and his grandchildren.

His charm, wit, and wisdom will be missed dearly.
