William “Spot” Dale Buffkin, 59, of Sunset Beach died September 27, 2019. He was born in Horry County, SC, on November 25, 1959 to Edward H. Buffkin and Mildred Faye McLamb Buffkin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Nathan. He was a retired power plant supervisor.
Surviving are his son, Bradley Buffkin (Bianca Norris) of Sunset Beach; daughter, Michelle Buffkin Cumbie (Steven) of Ash; brother, Ricky Buffkin (Frances) of Ocean Isle Beach; sisters, Debbie Smith (Allen) of Marathon, FL, Brenda Duncan of Crystal River, FL, and Dinah Mills of Tabor City, NC: grandchildren, Drake, Zoey, and Destiny; and his companion of four years, Laura Smith of Sunset Beach.
Services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, October 1, 2019, at Brunswick Funeral Service by The Rev. Larry Ward. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
