Obituary
William Ernest “Ernie” Taft, Jr., 80, of Ash, NC, died June 29, 2019.
Born in Lancaster County, VA, on April 25, 1939, he was the son of the late William E. Taft, Sr., and Stelma Mae George Taft. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Scott Taft.
He was a retired timeshare salesperson and a member of the Pink Heals Coastal Carolina Chapter.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Hartman Dove; daughters, Samantha Smith (Jonathan) of Clarendon, NC and Rebecca Fairley of Ash, NC; grandchildren, Alexis and Madyson Babb, Daelyn Fairley and Raven Stevenson; sister, Patricia Schuyler; niece, Vickie Robinson and children Jack and Emma; nephew, Timmy Dubbs (Missy) and daughter Hannah.
A celebration of Life will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Friday, July 5, in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the services.
