William Joseph Healy, Jr., 91, Ocean Isle Beach, NC died on November 8, 2020.
Born in White Plains, NY on September 7, 1929, he was the son of the late William Joseph Healy, Sr. and Winifred Gallagher Healy.
He was a USMC veteran and was a retired insurance executive. He graduated from Marietta College, Marietta, OH and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks, the American Legion, and the Bricklanding Men’s Club. He was past vice-president of the U.S. National Jaycees and was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.
Surviving are his sons, John T. Hurst, III (Linda), South Bend, IN, Jeffrey Hurst and James Hurst, both of Bonita Springs, FL, Michael Healy (Maureen), Clifton Park, NY and James Healy, Wilmington, NC; daughters, J. Terri Fortin (Doug) Hingham, MA, Kathy Bost (Jeffrey), Allison Park, PA, and Mary Godfrey (Don), Rahway, NJ; eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
A Prayer Service will be conducted on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Masks and social distancing will be observed.
