William Laurence “Bill” Franko, Jr., 73, Southport, NC died September 6, 2023, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Little River, SC after a long battle with acute leukemia.
Bill was born on July 21, 1950, in Bridgeport, CT. He was a son of the late William and Marion Filakovsky Franko. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Andrew.
Surviving is his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Louise Franko; son William Franko III; brother, Thomas Franko; sister, Elizabeth Franko and her husband, John Frymcko.
Bill and Louise moved to St. James, NC after his retirement from Bristol Myers Squibb. He loved life, golf, and all the wonderful people he met and called friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5269 Dosher Cutoff, Southport, NC on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
