Obituary
In Loving Memory of William Patrick Patten Jr.
September 17, 1948 – August 14, 2025
With deep sorry and love, we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend William Patrick Patten Jr., who left us peacefully on August 14, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on September 17, 1948, in North Tarrytown, New York, Bill was a proud father and grandfather as well as a devoted partner to Ida Dellacalce. He also leaves behind many close relatives and lifelong friends that were like family.
He had two great passions outside of his family: the game of golf and Alabama football. Saturdays in the fall were sacred, spent cheering on the Crimson Tide with unwavering loyalty- win or lose (but mostly win). He never missed a game. And no matter the weather, you would find him on the golf course, swinging his clubs with grace, patience, precision and that competitive twinkle in his eye. He loved the game not just for its challenge, but for the peace and friendships it brought him over the years, and boy was he a great golfer.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Alison and Zachary Giampá of Briarcliff Manor, New York and Amanda and Mark McCormack of Elmsford, New York; grandchildren Zoe, Dylan and Cameron Giampá and Charlotte McComack, longtime companion Ida Dellacalce and her children Richard Dellacalce, Jessica Dellacalce, and Stacey Dattorre and husband Michael; in addition to a host of family and friends who will carry his memory with them always. He is predeceased by his parents William Patrick Patten Sr. and Mary Patten (Janos).
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday August 29th at 4pm at The Church of the Magalene in Pocantico Hills, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 or online at https://www.heart.org/ in honor of Bill and all those affected by heart disease.
Roll Tide forever, Dad.
You will be missed more than words can say rest peacefully.
