William Terral “Bill” Altman, Jr., age 74, died Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Wilmington, NC.
Bill was born in Dillon, SC on January 29, 1949, to William Terral Altman and Lena Mae Altman (Formerly Lean Mae Johnson).
Bill was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. Bill is survived by his soulmate and wife of 53 years Carol Caulder Altman of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Bill is also survived by his sister Deborah Lynn Collins Dallas and brother-in-law Gerald Dallas, his sons William Terral Altman III, John Paul Altman, daughter-in-law Christina Marie Altman, grandsons William Albert Altman, Owen John Paul Altman, Connor Daniel Luke Altman, Gabriel James Roman Altman, Elias Matthew Barin Altman, and a granddaughter Lainey Elizabeth Altman. Bill’s family brought him great joy throughout his life, and he will continue to watch over them from heaven. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sister: Belva Gayle Altman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Brunswick Funeral Service in Shallotte, NC at 2:00PM, the family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1:30PM.
