Obituary
Willie “Grace” Stone, 83, of Shallotte, NC peacefully accepted her invitation to heaven while in her home surrounded by loved ones on August 28, 2024 at 6:15pm. She left this world in the same manner she lived upon it, with love, compassion, acceptance and Grace. Although this journey was one she was prepared for, she left behind her 4 devoted children (Renae Hardee, Melody Bellamy, Allison Hardee Richardson, Michael Prentice) who would do anything for one more day, one more laugh, one more eye roll, just one more squeeze of the hand.
Grace will forever be known by her community, family and friends for her dedication to her family, her Lord, and anyone who needed a helping hand with a side of a beautiful smile. She is surely already leading a meeting, praying with her aunts, telling jokes with her family that has departed before her, and finally reuniting with her mother (Julia Edwards) and her father (Roland Stone).
Her surviving brothers (Harry Stone, Johnny Edwards) and sister (Gertrude Edwards) alongside her children and grandchildren ask for your love and prayers and attendance to remember our Amazing Grace at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Shallotte, NC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
